The day starts early with a new event for the Easter Festival - a FUN RUN (or walk) along the new IMBIL - BROOLOO RAIL TRAIL. Come along to test your fitness or just enjoy a country stroll. Hot news! Calling for teams for the 'Landlubber' Yabba Regatta Cup. The Yabba Regatta is feature event on Saturday and no - it's not on Yabba Creek. This is a 'landlubber' event where teams haul their home made nautical creations and race each other through the streets of Imbil, around hurdles and with handicaps to vie for the $500 ﬁrst prize, and the glory of winning the Yabba Regatta Cup. Businesses, sports teams, groups and friends from across the Gympie region should get a team together, build a 'yacht' and come out to the Mary Valley to have a ton of fun.
This action packed and competitive challenge attracts strong competition between teams and will have the boys and girls out to prove their abilities. Teams are put through the challenges our Firefighters face every day and team effort is what gets you through. Last year the Stags Football team just pipped the Tennis Club Team for top spot but it was touch and go. Get your team together and put up a challenge.
